You close at six. Then you go home and start the second job. The second shift is the email, the scheduling, the quotes, the follow-up that waits for you after the trucks are parked. The Second Shift Study counts those hours with you, matches each one to a boring, proven tool that fits, and hands you a written plan for getting them back, checked over by a competent human in the loop before you see it. One question sorts out whether this is for you: who handles the invoicing and scheduling after you close up? If that's you, keep reading.
The 15 minutes is free and specific to your business. One useful idea to keep. No obligation.Five reclaimable hours a week, confirmed by you, or I refund the $999. You keep your Shift Sheet either way. Full wording below.
The 15 minutes stays free. Stated up front because you'd find out anyway.
One Study. What happens after is entirely up to you.
Every page, every tool, either way.
Then we've already met. That was me: I do every knock personally, and nobody knocks under my name but me. Everything I said at your counter is written here, from the free 15 minutes to the $999 Second Shift Study to the guarantee in its exact legal wording, below.

The sign says welcome. I take it literally.
Your total time in: about ninety minutes, across three calls. Your Shift Sheet is checked over by a competent human in the loop, and it arrives before your walkthrough call, which is scheduled when you book the Study. The quick-start plan asks for ten minutes a day for four days. I do everything else.
A short video call about how your week goes. I show you one real fix for your business on the spot: tool, cost, setup time. If that's all you want, keep it with my blessing.
15 min · $0 · book this one →A 45-minute interview. I count the hours with you on the Second Shift Ledger: how often each task hits, how long it takes, what your hour is worth. Nothing goes on the list unless you hear the math and say yes out loud.
45 min · part of the $999Nine pages, checked over by a competent human in the loop. Every pain point a tool can fix, mapped to a specific tool with its price, setup time, and hours returned, plus a 4-day quick-start plan: ten minutes a day, in a set order.
arrives before your walkthroughYour Shift Sheet is already in your inbox. We walk it together for 30 minutes, run the money math with your numbers, and flag the install-order traps before you spend a dollar on software.
30 min · includedI'm not paid by any company I recommend. If that ever changes, your report will say so next to that pick, before you buy anything.
| The task (your words) | Tool that fixes it | Cost/mo | Hours back/wk |
|---|---|---|---|
| "Drowning in the inbox" | email triage tool | ~$10 | 2 |
| "Typing the same quote every time" | quote template tool | ~$25 | 1.5 |
| "Chasing no-shows by hand" | reminder automation | ~$20 | 1.5 |
| "Reviews? When I remember." | review-request tool | ~$30 | 1 |
Worked example of the money math: 6 hours a week at $75/hour is about $1,950 a month back; the tools that get it cost around $85. Your report runs this with your numbers, the ones you counted and confirmed yourself.
Illustrative page. A fictional business, for layout only. Every real report is built from your discovery call.
See a full sample Shift Sheet (fictional business) →"If, after your 45-minute conversation, we can't document at least five reclaimable hours a week in your business — honest, non-duplicative hours you confirm — you still receive your full Shift Sheet AND we refund the $999."
How we count, and the only conditions: the hours come from time estimates you confirm out loud on your discovery call, itemized per tool in your Shift Sheet, with no task counted twice. Claim window: 30 days from the day your Shift Sheet is delivered. Refunds go to your original payment method; we start the refund ourselves, and how quickly it posts depends on your card issuer.
One honest constraint before the numbers: I run every discovery and review call myself, which caps how many Studies I can take in a week. The booking calendar shows exactly what's open. When it's full, it's full.
The guarantee's floor is five reclaimable hours a week, counted from numbers you confirm out loud, never numbers I hand you. What those hours are worth is your own rate times the fixes you actually put in, and your report runs that math with your numbers, not mine. And if you ever hire me to build anything from the report, the full $999 credits toward it. Every Study starts with the free mini-audit; you never pay before you've met me.
Anything bigger than the first build is custom quoted in writing: one fixed quote, what's included, what's excluded, and how you test that it's done. Two businesses rarely need the same build, so I don't pretend they cost the same. Every tool in the report is something you can set up yourself without hiring me; the report tells you how. This is only for owners who'd rather not.
Your seat is scoped and quoted to your workflows, in writing. Cancel any month.
No stock testimonials. No star ratings from reviewers who don't exist. No logos of publications that have never heard of me. I'm building this company in person, across Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties, and I'm early: if you book, you'll be one of my first clients, and I'll tell you exactly which number when you ask.
That cuts both ways, so here's the deal it buys you: I answer my own phone, I run your calls myself, and I have more riding on your report being good than you do. When my first clients have results, you'll see them here, real names, shared with written permission. Until then, I'd rather show you nothing than make something up.
The guarantee above isn't marketing; it's the exact text on my terms page, in writing before you pay. If the report is thin, it costs me $999 and the afternoon it takes to say so.
No guesswork: every hour in your report comes from counts you confirmed yourself, out loud, on our discovery call.
You meet me first, on a video call or in person, before a dollar moves, and you'll see me again: same streets, next month. Harder to disappear than an ad account.

I live and work in Napa County. My background is sales and technology: years selling internet and Ethernet connectivity, then Windows systems, then coaching. The common thread was sitting across from someone and working out what they actually needed.
I started The Local AI Shop because local owners kept getting sold "AI" they didn't need, by people who never asked how they actually work. So that's where the Study starts: how your week actually runs, in your words. Sometimes the right answer is a plain piece of software. Sometimes it's "don't buy that." The report says so either way.
When I do recommend a company, I lean toward established, well-reviewed ones. I do the homework with AI research tools under my own rules, starting with how long a company has been around and what its customers say on independent review sites. A second, separate check hunts for red flags like lawsuits, data breaches and billing complaints. That's due diligence with a human in the loop: AI does the searching, and a competent human checks over your report before you see it.
Every price in your report is checked on the tool's own pricing page the day the report ships, for the plan that fits a business your size. Next to each pick, you'll see why I chose it and what I passed on.
